Improved the storefront presentation while keeping the original concrete barriers in place.
UV-stabilized materials were chosen for long-term exterior sun exposure.
The business wanted the frontage to feel more polished from the curb, but the concrete barriers already in place still had to remain. The job was not to remove those barriers. It was to make them look intentional and welcoming without turning them into a maintenance problem.
Artificial boxwood hedge panels were used as a permanent exterior facing over the existing barrier line. The panels were mounted to custom plates drilled into the concrete so the finished hedge surface would stay aligned and secure instead of reading like temporary decor.
The barrier layout was reviewed first so the finished hedge line would read straight from the street and still work with the existing site conditions. After the mounting plates were fixed in place, the hedge panels were installed and aligned to keep seams tight and the surface visually consistent across the full run.
The entry now looks softer and more intentional without changing the underlying barrier system the site still needed. The storefront gets a cleaner first impression, and the client avoids the watering, trimming, and seasonal decline that often come with live plant alternatives in a hardscape setting.
